Federico Cedrone’s interpretation of Growing by Numbers (*) reveals the city – set of pulsations, of invisible flows, of connections – as an aesthetic occurrence generated by multiple coherent and interdependent networks. The pictures catch the vibrating silence of the project on behalf of the meaning of the city, its transformation and growth. The city as a place of surprises, where ideas contaminate and new cultures are generated. Made of symbols, signs, rituals. Made of extra-ordinary events.
(*) FROM DECEMBER 2010 TO APRIL 2011, THE LIGHT INSTALLATION GROWING BY NUMBERS BECAME A DISTINCTIVE LANDMARK OF THE CITY OF MILAN. THE PROJECT WAS SELECTED FOR ADI DESIGN INDEX 2011 AND SHORTLISTED FOR THE COMPASSO D’ORO PRIZE.
